'Do you see yonder wicket Gate?' Evangelist pointing Christian in Bunyan's Pilgrims Progress to the way of salvation

Every knee to Thee should bow.

There is something inexpressibly pleasing to a justified mind to know that God has all the honour in our salvation, and we have none; to know that God's honour is not violated, but on the contrary, shines more illustrious; to know that God's law is not injured, but magnified and made honourable; to know that we are safe, and God has all the glory.

The Bible is a specialised book, for it holds to one theme: God's relationship to man. It does not tell us a little bit about everything; it tells us everything about this one theme. And at the core we see a Person who is both Son of God and Son of man. God could have given detailed explanations on a million topics, but instead He has one message. Christ is the Alpha and Omega. Across the gulf separating man from God, He has extended the Word.

In the vast universe of bliss, the center Thou, and Sun!
The eternal theme of praise is this, to Heaven's beloved One:
Worthy, O Lamb of God, art Thou
That every knee to Thee should bow!
