BOYS AND GIRLS PAGE

Well, boys and girls,

I wonder, have you ever had this happen to you? When you have wakened-up after a night's sleep, you have the strangest feeling that you had a dream, but you cannot remember what it was about! How frustrating it is.

Well, long ago, this happened to a King, and he was not only frustrated, but he was very, very angry. So angry was he that the was going to kill all the wise men in his land, because they could not tell him the meaning of his dream. However, a young man, when he was told about the King's threat, hurried to the King, and said, "O King, do not kill your wise men. Give me time, and I will tell you your dream, and its meaning."

The young man went back home, and he and three of his friends prayed to God to show them the King's dream. And God answered their prayers!

The young man went back to the King, and told him the dream, and its meaning. The King was so impressed that he fell down to worship him. But the young man immediately said, "It is God who told me all these things that are going to happen in coming days." The King then said, "Truly your God is the God of gods, and the King of kings."

I wonder, boys and girls, have you guessed who this young man was, and where we find the story written? It is Daniel, of course, and we find it all written in the Bible. Daniel was ever faithful to God in those difficult days when he was a captive in Babylon. He never forgot God, however, and God never forgot him.

So it can be for us, too, no matter what happens in this life. No matter where we go in our life, we can be sure that God is ever present, and we can call on Him for help always.

Love,
Mrs Seaton.
