New Pastor for the Reformed Baptist Church, Inverness, Scotland


In the will of the Lord the induction will take place on Saturday 17th January 2004 of Dr. Nick Needham to the pastoral charge of the Reformed Baptist Church of Inverness.

Dr. Needham comes to the charge following the retirement of Pastor Jack Seaton who was Pastor of the Church for thirty two years until his retirement in February 2002.

Dr. Needham brings many gifts to the Church. Born in London in 1959 he completed his Honours B.D. and a PHD at New College, Edinburgh University in the 1980s. His chosen subject was Church History, and for the past four years he has lectured on that subject at the Highland Theological College in Dingwall. Prior to that, he lectured in Church History at the Samuel Bill Theological College in Nigeria, and in systematic Theology at the Scottish Baptist College in Glasgow.

Dr. Needham is the author of several books on doctrinal and practical matters; and. has just completed volume three of an intended five volume work on the history of the Church -"2000 years of Christ's power."

Dr. Needham takes over the full-time pastoral work of the Church in Inverness as an existing member of the Church and with Pastoral experience with the Central Baptist Church in Walthamstow, London. The call to the Church in Inverness was on a unanimous vote.
