Dear Friends,

Reams of material have been written, and many words spoken with regards to the events that overtook the world in general, and the U.S.A. in particular, on the 11th of September of this year. One of the essentials for the professing people of God in the midst of such circumstances is to hold fast to the Lord our God in heaven above, and to the thought that our God is perfect in all His ways.

When leafing through some back-copies of the Wicket Gate not long after those events, I came across the collection of "thoughts" from Hudson Taylor printed below. So many of them, in so many ways, seemed to "speak" to the present time that I thought it well worthwhile to include them in this current copy of the magazine. I trust that as you read them you will agree, and that they will minister to your heart that "the Lord is God indeed."
