God's Word the Bible Mr Seaton tells why he is going to go through the stories of the Bible. Reason is that the Bible is God's Word to all
The Creation of the World The Bible begins “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”
Man's Sin
We learn how sin came into the world bringing sorrow and sadness. Mr Seaton asks, “What is Sin?”
Cain and Abel
Cain and Abel come to worship God. Here in the story of Cain and Abel in a picture form is God's salvation.
Noah and the Ark God told Noah to build an ark and to go into it with his family and the animals. But why did he tell Noah to do this?
Tower of Babel After the flood you see the goodness of God. However soon men began to sin again and to worship the sun, moon and all in the sky.
Abram Abram later became called Abraham. He believed on God and is an example of faith from whom we may learn.
Abraham in Egypt God tells Abraham to move to Canaan. When in Canaan a famine occurs and Abraham moves into Egypt where there is plenty of food.
Abraham and Lot Abraham and his nephew Lot divide the land. Lot chooses the best land but it was a bad choice and we learn why it was a bad choice.
Sodom Destroyed God tells Abraham he is going to destroy the city of Sodom, where Lot lives. Abraham pleads for Lot in prayer before God.
Abraham and Isaac Abraham, as told to by God, takes his son Isaac up Mount Moriah to offer him as a sacrifice.
Rebecca for Isaac Abraham sends his servant to the land of Mesopotamia to find a bride for Isaac. Abraham does this trusting God.
Isaac is Submissive You do not read much in the Bible about Isaac. But there is one lesson to learn and remember about Isaac! Listen carefully!
Jacob and Esau Jacob was not a nice character. From the story of Jacob and Esau learn that God is gracious and good to sinners.
Jacob's name now Israel How God changed Jacob's name to Israel and his return home after many years.
Joseph The story of Joseph is one of the best-known stories in the Bible. Mr Seaton teaches lessons from this great story.
Joseph in Prison Joseph, cast into prison finds that God is with him even there. We also learn of Joseph's faith in God in this difficult place.
Pharaoh's Dream Pharaoh, has dream and wants to know the meaning. No one can tell him but his butler remembers Joseph who is still in prison.
Joseph Dies Mr Seaton looks at the last parts of Joseph's life and the last parts of this first book of the Bible.

The Beginnings of Exodus The word "Exodus" means "going out". The book covers the "going out" from the land of Egypt and into the land of Canaan.
The Birth of Moses Pharaoh, King of Egypt ordered his soldiers to kill all male babies born to the people of Israel. God saves Moses in a remarkable way.
Moses Flees from Egypt From this lesson we see how God kept his word and delivers the people from slavery in the land of Egypt.
Moses in Midian Moses flees from Egypt to the land of Midian. At a well he meets and protects the daughters of Jethro.
Moses goes back to Egypt Moses speaks to God at the burning bush. God tells him to go back to the land of Egypt and in preparation tests the faith of Moses.
The Plagues and the Passover God sends plagues on Egypt, but Pharaoh will not free the children of Israel. God sends a final punishment and protects His people.
Starting on the Journey At midnight God tells the Children of Israel to prepare for a journey. God leads them out of Egypt guiding and protecting them.

Mr. Seaton looks at some of the things God did for the Children of Israel now they have begun their journey.
God Gives the People Manna God provides the people with fresh, sweet water and feeds them with meat and manna as they cross over the wilderness.
Moses, Aaron and Hur on the Hill Joshua leads army while Moses lifts his hands in prayer with help of Aaron and Hur on the hill
The Giving of the Law The Children of Israel arrive at Mount Sinai and receive the Law from God. (10 commandments)
The Observing of the Passover The Children of Israel told to remember certain days the principal being the Passover so they may ever remember their slavery in Egypt and God bringing them freedom.
The Tabernacle God gives instructions for the building of the tabernacle (tent) where they could meet with God and God could meet with him
The Day of Atonement The day of Atonement, the day when God would forgive Israel for all their sins by sacrificing an animal on the alter.
Moses is shown God's Glory Israel needed God in travelling through the wilderness. Moses spoke to God, and God promised to Go with him. He then asked to see the God's glory.
They Spy out the Land Though promised the land the Israelites had to fight for it so they sent out 12 spies to spy the land. Joshua and Caleb's faithfulness to God.
The Serpent Lifted Up Because of sin God sent into the camp fiery serpents (snakes) those bitten died.
Rahab and the Two Spies The story of Rahab helping the two spies escape
The Crossing of the Jordon Joshua leads the people over the Jordon and enters the land of Caanan
The Captain of the Lord's Host The captain of the Lord's Host or Army appears to Joshua.

David's Faults David while a great man and close to God was still a man with shortcomings which led to sin against God.
Absolom Rebels against David David's son, Absalom, wants to be King over Israel. This causes him to plot against his father.
Solomon Becomes King David's son Solomon becomes the third King over Israel and known for his great wisdom.
Solomon and the Queen of Sheba The Queen of Sheba hears of King Solomon's wisdom and goes to visit him and learn how wise he is.
Israel Divided into two Kingdoms Solomon ruled over the land of Israel; however he sinned and God divides the land between Solomon's servant and Solomon's son.
Jeroboam and the Golden Calf Jeroboam gathers gold from the people of the land, melts it down and from the molten gold makes two golden calves.
Ahab and Elijah There is a drought and God feeds Elijah at a brook then by the hand of a widow.
The Choice between God and Baal Elijah sets up an altar to God and the priests of Baal set up one to their own god. Here we learn of the true God who answers in the fire.
Elijah told he was not Alone Jezebel threatens Elijah and he flees to a cave on Mount Sinai where God speaks in a still small voice assuring him he is not alone.
Elisha follows Elijah God tells Elijah told to anoint Elisha. We also learn of Ahab's desire to have the vineyard of Naboth.
The Miracle for the Widow A widow with two sons threatened with slavery for a debt. Elisha tells her to pour oil from her container into all the containers she can get.
Elisha raises the Child Elisha performes a miracle and raises a child from the dead. Elisha's power came from God.
Naaman's Leprosy Cured Naaman has leprosy and goes to visit Elisha. Elisha tells Naaman his leprosy will be cured if he dips himself in the river Jordon.
Elisha Spares his Enemies The king of Syria decides to capture Israel city by city. God tells Elisha who warns the king of Israel and prepares each city to defend itself.
Elisha Saves the Samaritans King Benhadad of Syria attacks and surrounds Samaria and because of the siege starvation sets in.
Jonah the Prophet God sent a big fish to swallow Jonah. Mr Seaton looks at the lessons found in this well-known story.
Isaiah the Prophet God calls Isaiah to be a prophet and through Isaiah gives warnings, judgements and great promises about our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah and Hezekiah Hezekiah reopens the Temple and sends out letter for people to come and worship God. The people then return to the Lord.
Hezekiah to Josiah Hezekiah is known as “the good King Hezekiah” because he listened to Isaiah.
Jeremiah God sends Jeremiah to warn the people; they reject these warnings and turn against Jeremiah. God then punishes the people.
Daniel and Friends Refuse the Food The king of Babylon wants certain young people to become his servants. Daniel and his friends refuse the food given to them.
Nebuchadnezzar's Dream Daniel interprets Nebuchadnezzar's dream when all the wise men and magicians could not.
The Fiery Furnace Daniel's three friends refuse to bow to the king's idol. The result is that they find themselves cast into a fiery furnace.
Nebuchadnezzar cast out for 7 years Nebuchadnezzar dreams a strange dream and calls on Daniel to interperate the dream.
Daniel in the Lion's Den How Daniel ended up in the den of lions and God's deliverance from that den of lions.
Back to Jerusalem Zerubbabel leads the people back to the city of Jerusalem to rebuild the city.
Opposition to the Building Opposition to rebuilding the Temple and the city of Jerusalem by the Samaritans and the cunning they used to try and stop the building.
The Prophet Haggai The work rebuilding the Temple had halted. God sent Haggai to encourage the people and complete the building.
Building the Walls of Jerusalem Nehemiah encourages the people to build up the walls of Jerusalem. They work with the trowel in one hand and the sword in the other.
Mordecai Honoured by the King Mordecai reveals a plot against the life of the king of Persia, and how the king honoured him.
Re-cap of the Old Testament Mr Seaton re-caps the Old Testament following two years of telling the Old Testament stories.

Paul and Eutychus Eutychus sits on the window-sill of an upstairs window while Paul preached. He falls asleep and falls to his death from the window.
Paul at Miletus Paul is one of those men who are examples to others as to how we are to serve God.
Paul and his Nephew Paul once again is in prison for preaching and while in custody a group plot to murder him but Paul's nephew overhears their plotting.
Paul and Felix Felix send for Paul to hear about his faith, Felix trembles telling Paul he will hear him again – but he never did.
Paul and Agrippa Felix the governor is replaced by Festus who knowing nothing about the Jewish religion asks King Agrippa to hear Paul.
Paul s Shipwrecked Paul, is sent to Rome by ship and under the authority of Julius a centurion of Augustus' Band. A storm occurs and the ship sinks, with no lives lost.
Paul arrives in Rome On arriving in Rome Julius, takes the prisoners to the prison. Paul he takes to his own rented house.
Paul writes to Philemon Paul is now in Rome many visit him. One who visits him is Onesimus, a runaway slave. Paul sends him back to his master Philemon.
Put on the Armour of God While a prisoner in Rome Paul met many people and wrote many letters to individuals and to churches.
Paul's Guests at Rome To learn the names of some of Paul's visitors read the opening verses and closing verses of his letters for there you will find many named.
Paul's Last Letter Before his death he wrote his last letter, this letter is 2nd Timothy. In this letter you learn the names of others whom Paul knew.
Peter's Letters We find in the Bible letters from the Apostle Peter. In Peter's letters you can see him remembering his time with Christ.
John Writes Revelation We come to the end of "Through the Bible With the Children of the Reformed Baptist Church" by looking at the last book of the Bible, which is the "Book of the Revelation". John is the author of this book.
